Job Details: Job Location: Winona Location - Winona, MN, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $36.40 - $50.23Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) responsibilities include managing a caseload of clients using evidence-based/ person centered principles to develop, implement and coordinate an occupational therapy program. The OTR/L is expected to provide services that place the highest priority on the ethical delivery of therapy with the best interests of the clients at the center of his/her efforts. The OTR/L maintains a professional and ethical relationship with Partners In Excellence’s clients and fellow employees. It is your responsibility to be fully knowledgeable of Partners in Excellence’s Privacy Policies and Procedures and to report any violations to your supervisor or the Privacy Official (see Partners’ Privacy Policies and Procedures Manual – Staff Compliance and Sanctions). It is the responsibility of the Occupational Therapist Registered and Licensed with the State of Minnesota (OTR/L) to protect Partners’ clients’ privacy at and away from work. Work Environment The Occupational Therapist Registered and Licensed with the State of Minnesota (OTR/L) is assigned to work in the OT areas or throughout the center at the Partners in Excellence’s center based programs. The Occupational Therapist Registered and Licensed with the State of Minnesota (OTR/L) may be required to transfer from center to another depending on the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. OTR/L Certification from NBCOT or AOTA as well as title licensure from Minnesota and/or Wisconsin Department of Health General knowledge of typical and special needs clients Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Dependable, consistent, and tactful Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions Successfully passed an initial and subsequent background checks (no history of felonies, substantiated client maltreatment or vulnerable adult incidents, or disqualifying misdemeanors) Must have some experience and be interested in working with children and possess the interpersonal skills to be playful, enthusiastic, and bring a high level of energy into the therapeutic situation Must have good hygiene; strong cologne, body and pet odor, cigarette smoke and fragrances may be offensive and interfere with cohesiveness of staff and clients. Must demonstrate the ability to administer and write assessments/evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes in an accurate and timely manner. Must demonstrate the ability to work within a team and comply with supervisory direction Must demonstrate a clear ability to accept corrective feedback, comply with supervisory direction, and show a solid history of seeking and completing required and optional training Acquire and maintain active title registration with Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Acquire and maintain active membership with National Board Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or related field if Bachelor’s degree is in Occupational Therapy) Member of AOTA/ MOTA Previous behavioral therapy experience Knowledge of teaching procedures associated with Verbal Behavior Therapy Previous therapy experience working with children with autism COTA Requirements Candidates for the COTA position must have an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant and COTA/L Certification from NBCOT, as well as title licensure from Minnesota Department of Health.
