Essential Functions: Screens, evaluates, and treats Patients Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindication Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function Supervises physical therapist assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act. Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of current practice Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff Must be capable of performing the Responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Key Responsibilities

The physical therapist is responsible for screening, evaluating, and treating patients while developing measurable goals to improve their independence. They also supervise physical therapist assistants and rehab technicians while communicating findings to the patient's care team.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Physical Therapy and hold a current state licensure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with patients and staff are required.
