Job Description

Role Overview

FirstCare Onsite, A Carisk Partners Company, is seeking an experienced, professional Physician Assistant to join our growing team in a full-time, part-time or per diem capacity.

This is a unique opportunity for a PA looking for an excellent work-life balance in a low-volume, low-stress clinical environment while continuing to practice hands-on urgent care and orthopedic medicine.

The Physician Assistant will provide on-site medical care in a professional workplace setting, treating an average of approximately 1–2 patients per day while on a construction site.

While patient volume is significantly lower than a traditional urgent care or emergency department setting, we maintain high standards for clinical care, professionalism, reliability, and documentation. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, comfortable managing common urgent care and musculoskeletal conditions, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care regardless of volume.

Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and treatment of acute injuries and orthopedic complaints
  • Simple and intermediate laceration repair
  • Nailbed injuries and laceration repair
  • Evaluation and removal of superficial ocular foreign bodies

Wound Evaluation and Management

  • Initial evaluation and management of sprains, strains, fractures, and other musculoskeletal injuries
  • Splinting and other basic orthopedic procedures
  • Ordering and reviewing diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Coordinating appropriate specialist referrals and follow-up care

Maintaining Accurate and Timely Medical Documentation

Communicating professionally with patients, supervising physicians, and members of the First Care team

What Makes This Position Different

Unlike a traditional urgent care environment where providers may see dozens of patients per shift, this position typically involves only 1–2 patient encounters per day.

This allows the provider to practice medicine without the constant pressure of high patient volume while having adequate time for documentation, follow-up, and coordination of care.

We are looking for someone who appreciates this environment but understands that low volume does not mean low expectations. Dependability, professionalism, attention to detail, and clinical readiness are essential.

  • Minimum 2 years of Physician Assistant experience preferred
  • Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Orthopedic experience preferred
