Job Description

This is a 40 hour/week exempt position with daytime hours.

The MSPCA-Angell is offering a unique opportunity for a veterinarian to join our
progressive veterinary team serving both community animals in need and shelter
animals.

The Position

As a Shelter and Community Clinic Veterinarian, you'll be providing medical care
required to assure and maintain the health of the animals in the shelter as well
as those treated through community clinic programs; working alongside leadership
from other departments to maintain overall population health, capacity, and
flow.

The salary range for this position is generally $130,000 – $165,000 annually and
can vary based on skill level and experience.

well as low cost spay/neuter and acute outpatient veterinary care for owned

The position reports to the Director of Veterinary Medicine & Community
Initiatives and offers exposure to a diversity of surgical and medical cases
rarely seen in private practice, with an emphasis on high volume spay/neuter,
urgent outpatient surgery, and infectious disease control.  Joining MSPCA-Angell

including veterinarians, techs, animal behavior, adoptions, foster, and
operations.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate must have a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine, ability
to obtain Massachusetts veterinary license, a controlled substance license and a
Federal DEA license. Experience in shelter medicine or other high-volume setting
preferred.
