Job Description

PM&R Physician Elwood KS (40 Miles N of Kansas City)

$200–$250/Hour | Part-Time 3 Days/Week | 5–7 Hour Shifts | No Call

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician / Physiatrist to join a growing team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Elwood, KS.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PM&R physician looking for strong hourly compensation, flexible scheduling, short shifts, and excellent work-life balance while practicing within a collaborative, physician-driven clinical model.

  • Schedule & Compensation
  • $200–$250 per hour
  • Part-time – approximately 3 days per week Monday–Friday No call
  • Approximately 5–7 hours per day, depending on efficiency and census
  • Flexible start and end times
  • Rotational schedule with another provider covering alternate days
  • Travel-related expenses may be covered depending on location

What You'll Do

  • Provide PM&R care for patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Evaluate, diagnose and manage rehabilitation patients
  • Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation plans
  • Work alongside Internal Medicine in a consultative capacity to manage medically complex patients
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Active Kansas medical license or ability to obtain
  • Federal DEA registration
  • Kansas controlled substance registration or eligibility
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred
