Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pain Management to provide high-quality patient care in homes and various residential facilities, including Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Independent Living Facilities (ILF), and nursing homes throughout Miami-Dade & Broward County.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and providing evidence-based pain management interventions.
This role is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable practicing independently, managing a busy schedule, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessments & Treatment Planning:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions.
Assess pain levels, medical history, symptoms, and treatment responses.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based pain management plans based on each patient's clinical needs.
Pain Management & Clinical Care:
Diagnose and manage patients with a variety of pain-related conditions within the scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Provide appropriate medication management and other non-pharmacological pain management interventions.
Identify changes in patient condition and coordinate additional evaluation or specialty care when needed.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare providers, facility staff, patients, and caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
Communicate treatment plans, recommendations, and follow-up needs clearly with patients and caregivers.
Provide education regarding pain management, medications, treatment options, and strategies for managing chronic pain.
Documentation & Follow-Up:
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Complete required clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct appropriate follow-up assessments to monitor treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Florida. Certifications or experience in Pain Management preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in your specialty, with a focus on bedside care and independent patient management.
Skills:
Proficiency in advanced procedures and tools relevant to your specialty (e. g., MolecuLight iX, UltraMist Therapy for wound care).
Strong communication and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule of 60–80 patient visits per week.

Competitive per-visit and per-procedure rates based on complexity and specialty.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with holidays off (unpaid).
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and you will be responsible for managing your own taxes and benefits.
