Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement.
Essential Functions
- Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the Education Standards Board, or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements. REQUIRED
- Meet the education and experience requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA. REQUIRED
- Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered. REQUIRED
- ASHA certification, as listed in the job description. REQUIRED
- CPR certification. REQUIRED
- Strong communication skills and clinical judgment. REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Rehabilitation or acute care experience.
