Position Summary

This position requires the individual to hold a pharmacist license in good standing in the applicable state(s). Additional state licensure may be required to support business needs. This individual will be responsible for prescription entry, which will include entering and verifying the prescription information. In addition, this individual is responsible for performing concurrent and or retrospective drug utilization reviews, utilizing professional and clinical judgment in the interpretation of medical information and entering of patient profile and prescription information, in compliance with the state and federal laws that govern the practice of pharmacy.

Applies professional judgment in the interpretation and dispensing of patient medication in compliance with the state and federal laws that govern the practice of pharmacy. Dispensing of drugs includes the packaging, preparation and labeling of drugs. Provides oral and written information to both patients and physicians. Performs drug regimen review. Receives oral prescription drug orders and reduces them to writing and may contact physicians as appropriate (or oversee others’ contacting physicians) for clarification of prescription information. Position will be trained in the following professional functions: Quality Assurance, DUR, Dr. Calls, and Product Verification.

Required Qualifications

1. Active Hawaii Pharmacist License in good standing.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.

3. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare providers' offices.

  • Ability to effectively manage frequent phone communications and extended computer-based tasks.
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly master complex pharmacy and healthcare technology systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Schedule: Monday 8:00am-4:30pm, Tuesday 8:00am-4:30pm, Wednesday 8:00am-12:00noon. May adjust according to business need.

Pay Range

  • The typical pay range for this role is:
  • $60.58 - $101.54

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
