The Chemical Dependency (CD) Counselor is responsible for providing treatment management, in conjunction with the treatment team, of the chemically dependent patient and family from the initial phases of treatment through continuing care. Must be knowledgeable in the theory, technique, and practice of counseling within this specialty and utilize this expertise in providing individual group, and conjoint counseling, as well as delivering program content such as education and specialty groups.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree Preferred.
• Graduate or equivalent from an accredited program of chemical dependency education.
• Experience: 1 - 3 years Clinica experience in psychiatric setting preferred.
• Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs and substance abuse.
