Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide general surgery coverage for inpatient consultations and emergency cases
- Perform emergency surgical procedures including trauma and acute care surgery
Manage Unassigned Patient Rounds and Admissions
Provide on-call coverage for surgical emergencies with 15-minute phone response and 45-minute in-person response
Perform required surgical procedures including laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and vascular access procedures
Key Responsibilities
Provide general surgery coverage for inpatient consultations and emergency surgical procedures. Manage unassigned patient rounds and admissions while maintaining on-call availability for surgical emergencies.
Requirements
Must be a Board Certified General Surgeon with a valid North Carolina medical license. Requires current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and ABLS certifications.
