Physical Therapist (PT)

Adelphi is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school physical therapy services in a school setting in Yuma, Arizona.

The ideal candidate will assist/provide evaluations, direct and consultative therapy, and IEP-related support services to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student mobility, educational access, and continuity of care.

Requirements

• Applicable professional qualifications, licenses, and certifications required to provide physical therapy services within an educational setting.

• Appropriately licensed and/or certified PT (or supervised PT Assistant where permitted by applicable law and licensing requirements).

• Experience providing physical therapy services in a school or pediatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students.

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services based on student needs.

• Develop recommendations, goals, accommodations, and interventions tailored to individual students.

• Address mobility, positioning, access, gross motor functioning, and participation within the educational environment.

• Recommend or assist with adaptive equipment and accessibility needs when appropriate.

• Monitor and document student progress throughout the course of services.

• Participate in IEP meetings and other student-related meetings as requested.

• Consult and collaborate with District personnel, parents/guardians, and other service providers.

• Prepare required evaluation reports and maintain accurate service documentation within District timelines.
