Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in crisis in the psychiatric emergency room/screening center.
- Determine appropriate patient disposition including admissions, discharges, and observation determinations.
- Provide medication management for psychiatric patients.
- Supervise and teach psychiatry residents during overnight shifts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced psychiatric emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in a crisis setting and determine appropriate patient disposition. Provide medication management and supervise psychiatry residents during overnight shifts.
Requirements
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with an active New Jersey medical license and DEA certification. Requires experience in psychiatric emergency evaluations and both adult and pediatric psychiatry.
