- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Worksite: Health Care System (PVAHCS)
- Job Type: Contract
- Duration: 1 Year + 4 Option Years

Job Summary
We are seeking qualified and experienced Licensed Pharmacists to provide Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Services at the Phoenix VA Health Care System in Phoenix, Arizona.
The selected candidates will support pharmacy operations and provide a full range of pharmacy services to Veterans in accordance with VA healthcare standards and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services to VA beneficiaries.
- Review, interpret, and dispense medications accurately.
- Ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support clinical pharmacy operations and patient care.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Comply with VA policies, pharmacy regulations, and facility procedures.
- Report relevant patient outcomes and support quality improvement activities.
- Work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College or School of Pharmacy.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree.
Current, valid, and unrestricted pharmacist license in any US State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Must be eligible for VA credentialing and privileging.
- Minimum 24 months of relevant pharmacy experience within the most recent 36 months is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Requirements
US Citizens and Green Card holders eligible.
Contract Details
- Base Year: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026
- Option Years: Four additional years
- Total Contract Period: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2030
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution. A current, valid, and unrestricted pharmacist license in any US jurisdiction is required, along with eligibility for VA credentialing.
