Weekend Triage Nurse (RN) | Home Health

Are you an experienced home health RN who knows how to handle the weekend phone? Interim HealthCare of Oklahoma City is hiring a Weekend Triage Nurse to be the first call for our home health patients on Saturdays and Sundays. When a patient or family calls, you'll assess the situation by phone, give clear guidance, and dispatch a field nurse when a visit is needed. If you've done triage before and want a weekend role with a steady team behind you, this one is built for you.

Your schedule

* Saturday and Sunday

* Phone-based from home; our on-call field nurses make any visits

* $100 per day | Saturday and Sunday

What you'll do as a Weekend Triage Nurse

* Take incoming weekend calls from home health patients, families, and caregivers

* Assess symptoms and concerns by phone and decide on the right next step

* Dispatch the on-call field nurse when a visit is needed and give them what they need to know before they go

* Contact physicians for orders or updates when a patient's condition changes

* Give patients and families clear instructions and reassurance when a visit isn't needed

* Document every call accurately and on time in our EMR

* Hand off weekend activity to the clinical team on Monday so nothing falls through the cracks

What we're looking for

* Active Oklahoma RN license

* Home health experience is required

* Previous triage or on-call experience in home health is required

* Sound clinical judgment and the confidence to make decisions over the phone

* Strong knowledge of home health patient populations, plans of care, and when to escalate

* Calm, clear communication with patients, families, nurses, and physicians

* Reliable phone and internet access while on shift

Service area: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, Midwest City, Mustang, Guthrie, Choctaw, Wellston, Harrah, Piedmont, and Blanchard.
