Summary of Job Duties

Come join our outpatient therapy family in this unique hybrid role! This position can also have a focus on GOLF THERAPY.

The position will be part of a dynamic PT and OT team dedicated to servicing patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility located on UAMS' Little Rock campus with a multi-disciplinary focus to ensure exceptional surgical outcomes. Provides and ensures best practice patient care adhering to UAMS Medical Center Code of Conduct and Joint Commission standards of care. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and competencies required to maintain highest professional standards in the provision of physical therapy services. Performs evaluations, establishes plans of care along with home programs, coordinates, modifies, & administers treatment programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy

• Current Arkansas Physical Therapy License or eligible to obtain license within 1 month of date of hire
• Intermediate computer skills

Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy
• OCS, CSCS, DN Certified

Additional Information

Responsibilities:

Performs comprehensive patient examinations using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and develops an individualized plan of care.

Provides evidence-based, high-quality patient treatment and monitors patients' physiological status during sessions. Provides individualized patient education.

Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions and submits accurate charges according to regulatory policies.

Provides education regarding the physical therapy discipline.

Serves as a clinical instructor/mentor and provides education to other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community.

Participates in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and/or meetings and unit/department/hospital meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.
