Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Physical Therapist Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in Fresno. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a geriatric population and patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in helping patients regain mobility, improve strength, and achieve greater independence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities

• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, safety, and mobility techniques

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Minimum of 6 months of recent PTA experience within the last 5 years preferred

• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
