Job Description

Lakeview Hospital has a Speech Pathologist opening available supporting our
sites across the St. Croix Valley and Western Wisconsin.  This position is a per
diem role working a minimum requirement of 1 weekend call per month Sat/Sun 8-12
pm and 1-2 holidays/year, with opportunity to pick up weekday shifts as needed. 

The primary focus of this position is to assess, plan, organize and participate
in rehabilitative programs that improve speech, language, cognitive and swallow
function of patients with impairments from diseases or injury.  This position
will include inpatient, outpatient and homecare speech therapy services.  In
addition, this position will provide backup speech therapy services as needed
within the St. Croix Valley and Western WI (will include weekends).

Work Schedule

1 weekend/month (weekend call) and 1-2 holidays/year.  Weekday support as
needed.

Required Qualifications

*  Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field from an
accredited program

*  Current Speech Language Pathology licensure in the States of Minnesota &
Wisconsin. If both licenses are not present upon hire, must have at least one
licensure from either MN or WI and must obtain alternate state within 6 weeks
of hire.

* Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED
for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)

* CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) through ASHA (American
Speech-Language Hearing Association) within 18 months of hire if Clinical
Fellow 

* For those servicing Homecare Services: Must have a vehicle with auto
insurance and a valid driver’s license and meet all criteria required under
Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

* Recommend experience as a Speech Pathologist preferably in a medical setting.
