Key Responsibilities
The Medical Director performs medication utilization reviews, medical necessity appeals, and clinical determinations for various health programs. They also provide peer-to-peer support to prescribers and contribute to the development of clinical policies and utilization management criteria.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active Texas medical license, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and possess at least 5 years of clinical practice experience. A graduate degree from an accredited medical school and residency program is required.
