SAINT VINCENT HOSPITAL - EM - MEDICAL DIRECTOR

DESCRIPTION

TeamHealth is seeking a board-certified emergency medicine physician to serve as
medical director at the Saint Vincent Hospital emergency department in
Worcester, MA.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced emergency medicine leader to provide
clinical, operational, and strategic oversight of the department. This role
offers a balanced mix of hands-on clinical care and administrative leadership,
with the opportunity to partner closely with hospital leadership to drive
quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience initiatives.

The 38-bed ED manages approximately 52,000 annual visits and operates within a
collaborative, physician-led environment supported by strong clinical and
administrative infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and direction for emergency physicians and advanced
practice clinicians
* Oversee clinical performance, quality metrics, and patient experience
initiatives
* Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize ED operations and
integration with hospital services
* Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient safety
* Mentor and develop clinical staff while fostering a culture of excellence and
compassion

Qualifications

* Board certified in EM (ABEM or AOBEM)
* 3 to 5 years of clinical leadership experience preferred
* Demonstrated success in performance improvement and team leadership
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Opportunity Overview

* 2 patients per hour

* 268 hospital beds
* 48 hours of physician coverage
* 40 hours of APC coverage

Competitive compensation with an estimated base salary range of $359,200 to
$474,000 annually with the opportunity to earn incentives.
