Respiratory Therapist - Days

• Location: Unity Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Pay: $24.00 – $33.00 per hour

About the Role

The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist. This role provides respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic testing to patients in both acute and outpatient settings, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol, high-humidity, and ventilator support
• Perform arterial punctures and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Conduct pulmonary function testing and EKGs
• Assist with chest physiotherapy and emergency respiratory interventions, including CPR
• Support long-term ventilation management and critical care patients
• Document all treatments and patient responses accurately in medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to coordinate care
• Assist with stress testing procedures alongside Nuclear Medicine and Nursing teams
• Serve as a clinical resource for respiratory care best practices
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT credential required
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency and critical care situations
