Key Responsibilities
The Detox Counselor provides direct support to clients through intake, assessment, counseling, and discharge processes. They are also responsible for maintaining facility safety, documenting client information, and managing crisis interventions.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be registered or willing to work toward an Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification. Experience with mental health or co-occurring disorders and familiarity with Twelve-Step recovery programs are preferred.
