Key Responsibilities
The role involves administering speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients with various speech and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities also include providing speech and language services, monitoring disease progression, adjusting treatments, and instructing clients in therapeutic exercises.
Requirements
Candidates must possess the appropriate education level required by state licensure and must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state(s) of practice. Holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or currently completing a Clinical Fellowship Year is preferred, along with obtaining Basic Life Support certification.
