Responsible for conducting discipline specific and multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for the Northeastern Early Steps Program as related to speech/Communication and other areas of development: Must prepare written recommendations and develop program plans to meet the individual needs of eligible children birth to 3 years of age.

Must provide intervention/consultations as authorized on the Individual Family Support Plans and Maintain files for each client. Must keep accurate records for billing and compliance.

Completes developmental evaluations, screenings, and assessments in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for the purpose of determining eligibility, monitoring progress, updating IFSPs, and planning intervention.

Provides intervention/consultations as authorized on each child’s Individualized Family Support Plan in the natural environment utilizing the Primary Service Provider approach.

Develops Plan of Care and obtains authorization for services as required by third party payers and program polices. Maintains clinical materials, supplies, and work are, and submits request for replacement or repair as needed.

Expected Salary

$35.92-$50.29 per hour

Required Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with Section 468.
• Florida Statutes, and Rule Chapter
• 64B20, F.A.C.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and be eligible for a Medicaid Provider Number. Requires Level II Criminal Background Screening, and be eligible for enrollment with Children’s Medical Services.

Must enroll as a Medicaid Early Intervention (EI) Services provider. Completion of Early Steps online orientation modules (1-3) within 90 days of application date. Applications must be renewed every three (3) years and document thirty-six (36) hours of CEU/In-service training. All in service hours must be related to at least one of the early intervention professional competency areas.

Preferred

Two to five years’ experience working with children birth to age 3 with speech, language, communication and feeding disorders/delays.
