Shift Start Time: 8 AM Shift End Time: 4:30 PM AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift Additional Shift Information: Two 8-hour weekend shifts per month Weekend Requirements: As Needed On-Call Required: No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $62.040 - $62.040 - $68.230

This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU.

What You Will Do
Provides individualized and quality evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments and education to meet each patient's needs based on medical necessity and clinical indication in accordance with the Occupational Therapy California State Practice Act and Title 16 requirements. These services will be provided in settings across the entire continuum of care including inpatient acute care, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and outpatient services. Adheres to professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined by department expectations and professional organizations. Maintains productivity, weekend and holiday requirements as specified. Ongoing professional development and continuing education to promote clinical excellence and evidence-based practice. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

Required Qualifications
Other Graduate of an approved professional school or graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Competent in provision of Occupational Therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures.
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy -REQUIRED

1 Year experience as an Occupational Therapist

Other Qualification Requirements
CCS Paneled Provider for NICU. - REQUIRED NBCOT certification. - PREFERRED Advance Practice Certification in ‘Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation or Intervention’ and CNT or CNT eligible. - PREFERRED

Essential Functions

Accurately perform individualized and quality evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments and education to patients and families/caregivers.
Provide care in inpatient acute care, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and/or outpatient settings based on patient care and business needs.
Meet weekend and holiday requirements based on FTE status.
Independently assess all areas relevant to patient function, utilize sound clinical decision-making skills, develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan, and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Accurately enters data in Tri-City Medical Center’s Electronic Health Record System.
Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Provide mentorship as requested (voluntary).
Follows organization’s rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards while carrying out the mission, vision, and values of Tri-City Health District.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
