Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardiac Surgery Step-down un

Key Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Provider will manage post-surgical cardiac patients in an inpatient step-down unit, including performing physical exams and prescribing medications. They are also responsible for patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring students.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program and possess current Illinois licensure. Acute care certification for APRNs and ACLS/BLS certifications are required, with cardiac surgery experience preferred.
