Key Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Provider will conduct comprehensive health appraisals, perform physical examinations, and provide direct clinical care within the cardiac surgery department. They are also responsible for prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and mentoring students while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program and possess current Illinois licensure. Additionally, APRNs are required to have acute care certification and RNFA credentials, along with BLS certification and cardiac surgery experience.
