Job Description

Description

Physician Liaison - Northern Territory

Build trusted healthcare relationships across North Atlanta and North Georgia

Georgia Urology is seeking a confident, relationship-driven Physician Liaison to represent our physicians and grow referral relationships throughout the Northern Territory.

This is a highly visible field position for someone who enjoys building professional relationships, solving problems and turning market insight into meaningful growth.

  • Base salary: $70,000–$75,000, depending on experience
  • Incentive: Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation
  • Department: Marketing
  • Reports to: Director of Marketing
  • Work style: Full-time, field-based role with regular travel throughout the territory

The Opportunity

The Physician Liaison serves as a trusted connection between Georgia Urology and the physicians, advanced practice providers, referral coordinators and practice managers who care for patients throughout North Atlanta and North Georgia.

You will own a defined territory that includes Cumming, Roswell, Sandy Springs, East Cobb, Forsyth County, North Fulton and surrounding North Georgia communities. You will have the autonomy to build a thoughtful territory strategy while working closely with Georgia Urology physicians, practice leaders and an experienced liaison team.

Success in this role requires more than completing office visits. The right candidate will listen carefully, recognize opportunities, identify barriers and become a dependable resource for both referring practices and Georgia Urology providers.

What You Will Do

· Develop and manage relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, referral coordinators, practice managers and other healthcare decision-makers.

· Create territory and account plans informed by referral trends, provider priorities, service-line opportunities and market conditions.

· Protect and grow established referral relationships while re-engaging practices with declining or inactive referral activity.

· Introduce Georgia Urology physicians, advanced practice providers, locations, programs and services to appropriate referral sources.

· Coordinate physician marketing days, office introductions, breakfasts, lunches, meet-and-greets and educational programs.

· Support physician and provider onboarding through targeted introductions and market-development activities.

· Identify referral-routing, scheduling, communication and access barriers, then work with internal teams to help resolve them.

· Represent Georgia Urology at selected healthcare, professional and community events.

· Gather competitive and market intelligence involving health systems, provider affiliations, referral networks and competing practices.

· Document outreach and opportunities accurately, provide useful territory updates and follow commitments through completion.

· Collaborate with other liaisons when organizations, markets, service lines or events cross territory boundaries.

What Makes This Role Different

· A respected, established specialty practice with a broad physician network and strong market presence.

· Direct access to physicians and practice leaders, with the opportunity to influence meaningful growth initiatives.

· A varied territory that includes established relationships as well as significant opportunities for development.

· Work that combines relationship building, strategy, healthcare education, problem solving and community engagement.

· A performance incentive designed to recognize strong execution and meaningful results.

· The opportunity to become a trusted market resource rather than simply promote a product.

Requirements

What You Bring

· Experience in physician relations, healthcare business development, medical sales, provider outreach, account management or a comparable relationship-focused role.

· A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, healthcare administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.

· Professional confidence and the ability to build credibility with physicians, clinical teams and practice leadership.

· Strong organization, initiative and follow-through, with the ability to work independently across a large field territory.

· Comfort reviewing referral or market information and translating it into practical account priorities.

· Sound judgment when handling physician concerns, competitive information and sensitive business matters.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn referral-reporting, CRM and other business systems.

· A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and availability for regular local travel and occasional early-morning or evening events.

Especially Helpful

· Knowledge of the North Atlanta or North Georgia healthcare market.

· Existing relationships with medical practices, health systems or professional healthcare organizations.

· Experience using CRM tools, referral data or account plans to guide outreach.

· Experience coordinating physician introductions, educational programs or professional events.

How Success Will Be Measured

Success will be based on consistent and well-documented outreach, development of priority referral accounts, alignment with assigned Georgia Urology physicians and operational leaders, effective follow-up on physician and practice needs, participation in targeted marketing activities and measurable progress within identified referral opportunities. Specific performance goals and incentive criteria will be reviewed during the hiring process.
