Job Description

Responsibilities

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner (APRN or PA) to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of minor medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the Alice Peck Day Express Care. This role primarily supports Express Care, with potential opportunities for qualified candidates to provide patient care in regional emergency departments.

Primary responsibilities for all assigned patients include ordering diagnostic testing, performing procedures within the advanced practitioner’s scope of practice, prescribing medications, directing the administration of medications by nursing staff. What This Position Offers:

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage minor medical complaints for adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced Express Care setting.

Enjoy a varied case mix that keeps your work interesting without the intensity of high-acuity emergency care.

Order diagnostic tests, perform procedures within your scope, and prescribe and manage medications with strong nursing support.

Work in a collaborative, team-based environment alongside experienced nursing staff and emergency medicine colleagues.

Explore opportunities for professional growth, including potential patient care roles in regional emergency departments.

Make a meaningful impact by delivering timely, efficient care that helps keep emergency departments focused on higher-acuity patients.
