Job Description

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Neonatologists to join our growing team at one of our valued partner locations:

Bayhealth Kent in Dover, DE, Jefferson Einstein in Philadelphia, PA, or Inspira Medical Centers in Vineland and Mullica Hill, NJ. These opportunities provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal care while benefiting from the clinical resources, collaborative network, and pediatric expertise of Nemours Children’s Health.

Our partnership model brings specialized neonatal care closer to families in their local communities.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other professionals to care for premature infants, critically ill newborns, and babies with complex medical needs.

Physicians also have access to the broader Nemours system for specialty consultation, care coordination, and transfer support when a higher level of pediatric care is needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for newborns requiring specialized monitoring and treatment.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal stabilization and resuscitation.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated, individualized plans of care.
  • Communicate closely with families, referring physicians, and consulting specialists throughout the care journey.
  • Promote quality, safety, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement in neonatal care.
  • Participate in clinical coverage, call responsibilities, and team activities based on the needs of the selected partner location.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of the selected practice location.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, family-centered care and the Nemours mission of improving the health of children.
