Job description

Community Hospital is a full-service, acute-care hospital, licensed for 60 beds.
We are an independently owned hospital that serves the Grand Valley of Colorado,
which is the largest metropolitan area between Denver and Salt Lake City. In
2024, Community Hospital earned the prestigious 5-star quality rating from
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and was recognized by Becker’s
Healthcare as one of Colorado’s top recommended hospitals. In 2025, Community
Hospital earned the highly coveted Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from
Healthgrades.

The Community Hospital Emergency Department has been instrumental in Community
Hospital’s unprecedented growth and success over the last decade.  Since earning
a Level III Trauma Designation several years ago, the department continues to
grow as more patients in our Grand Valley community continue to choose Community
Hospital.  The Emergency Department averages around 23,000 patient visits
annually, and we are actively looking for a new Emergency Medicine Physician to
join this growing team.  

This Position Includes

* Group consists of all experienced and board-certified Emergency Medicine
Physicians.  
* Physician shifts vary in length between 10 and 12 hours.  
* Level III trauma center with 23,000+ visits annually.
* 7 minutes away from the region's Level II trauma center with a
well-established transfer protocol

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION

This positions base hourly compensation for all non-nocturne shifts is $214 and
$231 for nocturne shifts.  Position is eligible for overtime compensation
increases for shifts worked in excess of 140 hours in a calendar month. 
Position also qualifies for an annual patient satisfaction bonus with an annual
value of up to $10,000.     

Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments,
recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to
eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a Level III trauma center setting. Collaborate with specialty clinics and support services to ensure effective patient management and transfer protocols.

Requirements

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine. Experience in a trauma center environment is highly valued for this role.
