Medical Director / Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity

Location: Columbus, OH

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join an established behavioral health program in Columbus, Ohio. Opportunities are available for both a Medical Director and a secondary psychiatrist within a 70+ bed adult inpatient behavioral health program with Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services.

The psychiatrists will provide clinical care to adult patients while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. The Medical Director will also provide clinical leadership and oversight for the psychiatric program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Provide inpatient psychiatric care
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient assessments
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor response to treatment

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other behavioral health professionals

• Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Support coordination of care between inpatient and PHP services
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical program initiatives

Medical Director responsibilities may also include

• Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for the psychiatric program
• Support and oversee psychiatric providers and advanced practice clinicians
• Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and standards
• Participate in quality, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with facility leadership regarding clinical operations and patient care
