Anesthesiologist opening with Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, VA. The Prince William Medical Center campus, is part of the Novant Health UVA Health System.

The campus features an acute care hospital with 130 beds and around-the-clock emergency room services; a behavioral health facility; fitness and wellness centers; and the Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center.

In Haymarket, VA, a community hospital with 60 beds, the Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, opened its doors in 2014. Our practice services Prince William Hospital and Haymarket Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments: OB/GYN, orthopedics, spine, interventional radiology, podiatry, plastics, healthy pediatrics, and bariatrics
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• Schedule: Flexible schedules
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
