What You'll Do

As a Music Therapist with ViaQuest, you'll use evidence-based music therapy interventions to help individuals achieve meaningful goals and improve their quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include

* Providing individualized music therapy services in home and community settings

* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, caregivers, and other providers

* Developing and implementing person-centered treatment plans

* Utilizing a strengths-based clinical approach

* Supporting growth in:

* Communication

* Social interaction

* Emotional regulation

* Coping skills

* Motor development

* Cognitive functioning

* Attention and focus

* Body awareness and coordination

* Using music to promote neurological functioning, improve communication between the brain and body, and encourage purposeful movement

* Maintaining accurate documentation and participating as an active member of each individual's support team

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Music Therapy

* Board Certification (MT-BC)

* Valid Indiana driver's license

* Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance

* Willingness to travel throughout your assigned service area

PREFERRED

* Experience providing Medicaid Waiver services

* Experience with Neurologic Music Therapy

* Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
