Job Description
This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year
stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency! This bonus will be provided
upon completion of a probationary period.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Child and Adolescent Outpatient
Services Supervisor, this Mental Health Therapist will provide enhanced and
outreach outpatient services across multiple levels of care. These services
could include; enhanced therapy in the office setting, case management outreach
activities, and coordination with providers both internally and externally with
attendance at corresponding meetings. Population of focus will be youth and
families. Specific training or experience with EBPs for youth and families and
strength based treatment is highly preferred. There is an expectation for
evening hours. Persons must be able to work well with others and have at least
one year of experience working with children and families. Responsible for
carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that
fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. CMHA-CEI is a Michigan

Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or closely
related field required or must be obtained within 60 days of application.
Possession of an appropriate State of MI credential is required or must have
applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of experience
(professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment
of minors and their families required or one academic year of graduate
practicum/internship experience with children and families required. Persons
must be able to work well with others and have at least one year of experience
working with children and families. Ability to communicate accurately and
effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to
work well with others. Candidate will be expected to work some evening hours.
Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable
transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirement: Employment offers for this position will be
contingent upon the results a background verification and credentialing
procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, pass a Central
Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare
verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational
background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able
to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $31.92 -$35.75 per hour with scheduled, annual increases that can
result in an hourly rate of $41.50 per hour. 40 hours per week. M-F 8-5pm with
some evening hours.
Location: Families Forward Child and Adolescent/Clinton County Counseling
Center, St. Johns Michigan.
