Outpatient Occupational TherapistLocation: Mount Dora, FL 32757Waterman Village Senior Living Community

Waterman Village is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Outpatient Therapy team. This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established senior living community and make a meaningful difference in the independence, safety, and quality of life of older adults.

Position Responsibilities

* Evaluate and treat outpatient therapy patients based on individualized needs and physician orders.

* Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans focused on improving independence and quality of life.

* Provide treatment for conditions including upper-extremity limitations, hand rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, pain, weakness, decreased mobility, balance concerns, and functional decline.

* Provide education on adaptive equipment, home safety, energy conservation, fall prevention, and strategies to improve activities of daily living.

* Complete evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in accordance with Medicare, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

* Collaborate with PT, ST, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

* Participate in community wellness initiatives, educational programs, and opportunities to promote therapy services to Waterman Village residents.

* Maintain excellent communication and customer service with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

* Current Florida Occupational Therapist license in good standing.

* Current CPR certification.

* Experience working with the geriatric population preferred.

* Outpatient or senior living experience preferred.

* Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative therapy team.
