Job Description
U.S. Anesthesia Partners (USAP) – Washington is the largest majority physician-owned and led anesthesia group in the Pacific Northwest. Our team consists of over 120 anesthesiologists and 20 CRNAs, delivering exceptional care to renowned facilities such as Swedish Medical Center’s First Hill (FH), Cherry Hill (CH), Issaquah, and Ballard campuses, as well as prominent ambulatory surgery centers across the greater Seattle area.
Job Highlights
We are looking to add a cardiac anesthesiologist to our highly skilled team, celebrated for its exceptional case outcomes. This is an opportunity to work on advanced cardiothoracic and vascular procedures while collaborating with the distinguished teams at Swedish Medical Center and USAP WA.
Cardiac operating room cases include CABG, valves, complex combinations, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, LVAD implantation, and a comprehensive nationally recognized Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS) program.
The structural heart and interventional cardiology programs are high volume, high acuity and include TAVR (percutaneous and complex access), percutaneous mitral and tricuspid edge to edge repair, percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valve replacement, left atrial appendage occlusion device (Watchman, Amulet) implantation and complex high risk percutaneous coronary interventions.
Additionally, Swedish is a referral institution for other heart programs and a regional hub for cardiogenic shock and ECLS.
Our team is passionate about practicing at the top of their license, providing care to diverse patient populations across varied settings, and enjoying the flexibility to perform their own cases.
Our cardiac team predominantly practices cardiac anesthesia. However, our anesthesia group at-large has a highly varied practice, with regional, thoracic, neuro, vascular, peds, general, and OB featured prominently at our FH and CH campuses. We have monthly anesthesia and CV surgery M&M conferences, educational sessions, and weekly cardiovascular conferences.
Pay is highly flexible and dependent on work, but not on the type of case or medical insurance, which incentivizes our physicians to do what they most enjoy. We have a very supportive work environment with knowledgeable anesthesia techs, morning/lunch breaks provided, and an extra hand often available to help in case of emergencies.
Comprehensive Benefits and Compensation for Associate (Flex) Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Estimated starting compensation ranges from $700-750k for full-time work, with the option to flex down to a 4-day work week if desired (pay commensurate with time worked)
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, 401(k) match, and quarterly profit-sharing.
A Culture of Inclusivity and Support We are proud of our inclusive culture and collegial atmosphere that support our anesthesiologists to perform at their best. Our mentorship program ensures a smooth onboarding process. Whether you’re a fellow or an experienced cardiac anesthesiologist, we welcome you to explore this opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a physician-led environment.
