Job Description
- Physical Therapist (PT) – PRN
- Grand Rapids Care Center | Grand Rapids, OH
- Flexible PRN Hours | Competitive PRN Rates | Weekday & Weekend Opportunities
- Looking for PRN hours with a rehab team you’ll actually enjoy working with?
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team at Grand Rapids Care Center in Grand Rapids, Ohio.
Whether you're looking to supplement your current position, pick up occasional weekday or weekend hours, or simply want the flexibility of PRN work without feeling like "just the PRN therapist," we'd love to talk.
- At AdvantageCare, we believe PRN clinicians should feel like part of the team, too.
- You'll work alongside an established rehab team caring for an adult and geriatric population while having the flexibility that makes PRN work attractive in the first place.
Why PTs Choose AdvantageCare
- AdvantageCare Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services for more than 23 years, and we're therapist-founded and therapist-led.
- That clinical foundation makes a difference.
Our therapists aren't simply filling treatment minutes. They're evaluating patients, developing individualized plans of care, collaborating with other disciplines, and helping people regain the mobility and independence they need for everyday life.
As a PRN PT, You Can Expect
Flexibility that works around your schedule. PRN should be flexible. We're looking for therapists who can help with coverage while balancing other professional and personal commitments.
A team that appreciates PRN support. You're there to help the team and patients—not simply fill a hole on the schedule. We want our PRN clinicians to feel welcomed and valued when they're in the building.
Clinical autonomy. You're the Physical Therapist. We value your clinical judgment and expertise in determining what your patients need to progress.
Collaborative rehabilitation. Work alongside PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Competitive PRN compensation. Your experience and the flexibility you bring to the team have value.
Opportunity for additional hours. If your availability changes or you're interested in expanding your role in the future, Advantage continues to grow and may have additional opportunities available.
What Will You Do as a Physical Therapist?
As a Physical Therapist at Grand Rapids Care Center, you'll evaluate and treat patients with a variety of mobility and functional needs.
Your Role May Include
- Performing comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations
- Developing individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals
- Addressing strength, balance, gait, transfers, endurance and functional mobility
- Providing therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and functional mobility training
- Assessing the need for assistive devices and providing appropriate training
- Developing fall-prevention and safety strategies
- Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans when appropriate
- Educating patients, families and caregivers
- Collaborating with PTAs and the interdisciplinary care team
- Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Helping patients work toward greater safety, mobility and independence
Why Grand Rapids Care Center?
For a Physical Therapist who enjoys geriatrics, rehabilitation and medically complex patients, a skilled nursing environment provides the opportunity to use a broad range of clinical skills.
You'll have the chance to work with individuals recovering from hospitalization, illness, surgery, injury or functional decline and help them work toward meaningful goals.
And because rehabilitation is a team effort, you'll be working alongside other clinicians and facility staff who share the same goal: helping each patient achieve the highest level of function and independence possible.
- PRN Without Giving Up Your Flexibility
- Already working full-time?
- Working part-time and looking for additional income?
- Want to keep your clinical skills active without committing to another regular schedule?
- Looking for occasional weekend or weekday hours?
- That's exactly where PRN can make sense.
We're interested in talking with Physical Therapists who have consistent PRN availability as well as clinicians who may only have select days or weekends available.
Experienced PT? We'd Love to Meet You. Newer Therapist? Let's Talk.
We're interested in clinicians at different stages of their careers.
If you're an experienced Physical Therapist, bring your clinical knowledge and perspective to a team that values it.
If you're earlier in your career, this can be an excellent opportunity to gain additional experience with geriatric rehabilitation, functional mobility, balance, gait training and skilled nursing care while working alongside an established rehabilitation team.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current or eligible Ohio Physical Therapist license
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with PTAs and the interdisciplinary team
- Skilled nursing, geriatric or rehabilitation experience is a plus
