South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details: You will join a united, well organized and friendly Department of Anesthesiology with a very strong and engaged leadership, exceptional interpersonal dynamics, high morale, excellent employee satisfaction, and a team approach to problem solving and response to emergencies. Practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Focus on interventional procedures (nerve blocks, epidurals) and medication plans for chronic conditions. Our Department is armed with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of Anesthesia, including Video-Laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite Ultrasound Machines for Vascular Cannulation and Regional Anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB Systems with disposal scopes used in Thoracic Anesthesia and Difficult Airway management, Flo
- Track System for intraoperative hemodynamic management, AccuView vein finding system, etc. Prepare and administer general and regional anesthetics and pain medication, adjusting as needed before, during, and after surgery and other procedures. Perform venous and arterial punctures. Mentor and supervise anesthesiology interns, residents, and fellows. Standard hours are from 7am - 3pm. Average of 4 overnight calls per month.
Qualifications Active or eligible for a NYS License Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Board eligibility or certification in Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $601,000

Requirements
