About the Job
- vision and support to PMHNPs in accordance with state laws and psychiatric board regulations. Participate in initial and ongoing chart reviews, case consultations, and quality assurance activities. Support PMHNPs in complex psychiatric evaluations, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements for psychiatric NP super
- vision. Contribute to ongoing clinical education, best practice implementation, and policy development. Clinical (Patient-Facing) Duties: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based psychiatric care for a range of mental health conditions (e. g., mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, etc.). Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including therapists, case managers, and social workers. Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation within the EMR system.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or DO) with residency training in Psychiatry. Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN). Active and unrestricted medical license in multiple states, or willing to get licensed in multiple states Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience, preferably with supervisory or collaborative experience with PMHNPs. Deep understanding of the NP scope of practice in psychiatry and relevant state regulations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills. Located in Tennessee Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telepsychiatry settings. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, integrated care, and/or addiction psychiatry (a plus). Multistate licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses (if telehealth is part of the model). Experience with EMR systems and virtual collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities
The role involves providing clinical supervision and regulatory oversight to Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, the psychiatrist will conduct direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
Requirements
Candidates must be board-certified psychiatrists with an MD or DO and a valid medical license in Tennessee. A minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience, preferably with supervisory experience, is required.
