Job Description

Welcome to the Connective!

Are you looking for a rewarding, values-driven career in the wellness space?

The Connective is a female-founded, integrative mental health practice with locations in San Francisco and Benicia. We offer compassionate, comprehensive, client-centered care for children, adults, couples, and families. Our team brings together therapists and integrative health practitioners (breathwork, Reiki, and functional nutrition) all sharing a deep commitment to caring for the whole person.

We believe healing is rooted in connection and that we’re stronger together. We cultivate meaningful relationships with our clients, colleagues, and community, and welcome practitioners who value collaboration, shared learning, and mutual support.

About the Position

The ideal Connective therapist is excited to join a group practice where collaboration and connection are at the heart of the work. They thrive in a team environment and value the opportunity to focus on what truly matters—providing exceptional care to their clients without the isolation or administrative burdens that can come with agency work or running a solo practice.

You may also be a great fit if you:

Take ownership of your work. You follow through, communicate proactively, and stay on top of documentation, scheduling, and client care.

Enjoy giving back and contributing to a team. You participate in consultation and team meetings, share resources, and help build a welcoming, supportive workplace.

Approach challenges with curiosity. You ask questions, seek context, and bring ideas for moving forward.

Value collaborative, whole-person care. You respect different areas of expertise and coordinate with other providers, with client consent, when appropriate.

Build meaningful therapeutic relationships. You offer affirming, culturally responsive care tailored to each client’s experiences, strengths, and goals.

Please note that The Connective is not a private practice incubator for therapists looking to build a caseload and eventually establish their own independent practice. We are interested in practitioners who are committed to becoming an integral part of our wellness collective and growing with our team over time.

Hours + Location

This in-person, part-time position requiring a minimum of 20 office hours per week to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as your caseload builds over time.

Schedules are somewhat flexible, however, all clinicians must be willing to working at least TWO evenings per week (until 8pm) to support caseload growth during peak client demand.

Proposed Schedule: Monday 2pm-8pm, Tuesday 12pm-8pm, Fridays 9:00am-6:00pm.

Location

This role is based on-site at our San Francisco (FiDi) office, conveniently located in the beautiful and historic Mills Building located at Montgomery & Bush.
