  • Job Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a residential treatment setting
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate group sessions and psychoeducation
  • Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams to support patient progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation (with support from Heather AI)
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience in the behavioral health field required.
  • Experience facilitating groups required.
  • Experience conducting individual sessions preferred.
  • State SUD certification required if education is equivalent to High School or Bachelor’s level.

Credentials may include

  • CADC I, II, or III required
  • QMHA or QMHP and willing to obtain a CADC preferred
  • CSWA, LPCA, LMFT, LCSW, LPC preferred
  • CPR-AED and First Aid certification required.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts on either a Sun–Thurs schedule or a Tues–Sat schedule required.
  • Experience with specific treatment focus areas or patient populations preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the United States required.
  • Annual salary: 58,240 USD/year

Key Responsibilities

The counselor will provide individual, group, and family therapy while completing biopsychosocial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans. They will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma and one year of experience in the behavioral health field, with group facilitation experience required. State SUD certification (such as CADC) and CPR-AED/First Aid certification are mandatory.
