Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Registered Radiology Tech for
our Outpatient Imaging office in White Oak, MD who will embrace our mission to
extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual
healing.
As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will
- Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol. Properly identifies
- Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to
- Monitors and assists patients, before during and after examinations. Maintain
- Knowledgeable and practices ALARA principles including proper shielding of
- Maintain patient, organizational and employee confidentiality.
- Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
- Receive patients, explains procedures and answers all patient questions and
- Maintains schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.
- Assists in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.
- Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned
- Actions and attitudes support Adventist HealthCare’s mission and RISES values.
- Stocking and management of supplies/linen for assigned area
- Administration of oral contrast materials when appropriate.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the care team to expedite
Qualifications include
- High school or GED
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography/and OR associate
- 1 year’s radiography experience preferred; New Grads welcome
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) R. T.(R)
- State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Dexa required- willing to train
- Strong customer service & critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment and handle
- Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment
Work Schedule
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PER DIEM
HOURS PER WEEK: 16HRS
TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE: MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AS
NEEDED; INCLUDING FLOAT TO ALL OUTPATIENT LOCATIONS AS NEEDED

Pay Range
If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a

Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging studies and DEXA scans while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Manage patient documentation in HIS, RIS, and PACS systems and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
Requirements
Requires ARRT R.T.(R) certification, a Maryland Radiation Technologist license, and BLS certification. A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and one year of experience are preferred.
