*QUALIFICATIONS:

* A master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university includes coursework in nursing practice, education, or administration.

* Must have a current, unencumbered, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas and meet the Texas Board of Nursing approval standards for program director.

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of nursing experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in a health care setting.

* A minimum of five years of experience teaching nursing in an associate degree nusing nursing program or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

* A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nurse administrator performing the manager role responsibilities consistent with a qualified administrator role in a clinical or educational setting.

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience working with a community college nursing program.

* Experience with the Texas Board of Nursing and Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing accreditation processes.

* Terminal degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or Education
