Understand the function of behavior. Conduct functional behavior assessments using observations, interviews, and data to identify student needs and inform recommendations.
Develop individualized interventions. Create evidence-based behavior intervention and skill-development plans that address barriers to learning and support communication, self-regulation, and independence.
Use data to guide decisions. Monitor student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with school teams to make appropriate adjustments.
Support consistent implementation. Coach teachers, paraprofessionals, and families on strategies that help students practice skills across educational settings and routines.
Provide qualified supervision. Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), when assigned, in accordance with applicable BACB requirements. Provide observation, feedback, and guidance to support effective services.
Collaborate on educational goals. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and work with families, educators, and related service providers to align behavioral supports with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
What You’ll Bring
A master’s degree or higher meeting BCBA certification requirements.
Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
An active Texas Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
