Position Summary

Provide comprehensive psychological services to students across a cluster of charter school campuses in the High Desert region, including assessment, consultation, intervention, and crisis support, in compliance with state special education regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments (cognitive, academic, social-emotional, behavioral) to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Participate in IEP/504 meetings; write assessment reports and present findings to families and staff
  • Provide individual and group counseling as outlined in IEPs
  • Consult with teachers and administrators on behavior intervention plans and classroom accommodations
  • Respond to student crises and coordinate mental health referrals
  • Support MTSS/RTI processes and data-informed decision making
  • Maintain compliance with assessment timelines and triennial review deadlines
  • Collaborate with ABA providers, speech therapists, and other related service staff serving shared students across sites

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential — School Psychology
  • Experience conducting special education assessments and writing legally defensible reports
  • Strong working knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and California special education code
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between campuses within the High Desert cluster

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in charter school or multi-site environments
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Familiarity with ABA/autism service coordination

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology and a valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential. Experience with special education assessments and knowledge of IDEA and California special education code are required.
