Get to Know Your Team

UT Health Henderson features 41 operational beds, a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center with surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, a maternity unit, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and an AASM-accredited sleep center.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program.
  • Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
