Job description
- ability. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; completion of graduate-level clinical practicum in an advanced practice nursing program. Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area from a board-approved certifying organization (e. g., ANCC, AANP). Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Ph. D. in Nursing. Experience in cardiology or heart and vascular care. Specialty certification relevant to area of practice. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Key Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Provider provides comprehensive cardiovascular care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support operational reliability.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing and possess a current, valid Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in Ohio. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner and BLS certification are required, with ACLS and cardiology experience preferred.
