Position Summary

  • Performs audiometric evaluations including pure tone air and bone audiometry in order to evaluate hearing, make ear impressions, fit hearing protections or prosthetic devises, and monitor the continuous use of hearing aides
  • Provides hearing care by selecting, evaluating, fitting, facilitating adjustment to, and dispensing prosthetic devices for hearing loss
  • Performs speech testing and conducts OSHA screenings
  • Provides education and counseling to patient and/or caregivers on the various screenings
  • Performs specialty diagnostic site-of-lesion testing, ie, ABSs and ENGs
  • Identifies, assesses, diagnoses, manages, and interprets test results to disorders of human hearing
  • Prepares written reports of findings and correspondence to referral sources and other professionals involved in the hearing health of the patient Requirements
  • Active Washington state license
  • Active bond or security in lieu of bond in the amount of $10,000
  • Successful completion of a master’s or doctorate degree program that includes clinic practicum experience
  • Masters degrees require Certificate of Clinic Competency in Audiology
  • AuD at a board approved institution are considered to have met professional work experience requirement.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $114,600.00 - $129,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.

Key Responsibilities

The Audiologist administers screening and diagnostic hearing and speech examinations in a clinical setting. They are responsible for fitting prosthetic devices, performing specialty diagnostic testing, and providing education to patients and caregivers.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active Washington state license and have completed a master’s or doctorate degree program in audiology. A bond or security in the amount of $10,000 is also required for the position.
