The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for advancing nursing practice standards across patient, staff, and organizational spheres through expert clinical practice and leadership. They act as a change agent and mentor, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in nursing with a clinical specialty focus and a current RN license in the State of Michigan. A current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification from the ANCC is required, along with at least two years of concentrated clinical experience.
