Psychiatric Counselor

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Counselor conducts psychosocial assessments and provides individual, family, and group therapy for patients aged 14 and older. They also coordinate treatment planning, facilitate discharge arrangements, and act as a liaison between patients, families, and medical providers.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure within eight months of hire is preferred, along with experience in behavioral health or substance abuse settings.
